About Mason Bird
Currently a high school senior, Mason Bird looks toward the future as a potential business student and ultimately, an entrepreneur. To build professional experience, he secured a position with Look Up Lodge Christian Camp, where he coordinated such camper activities as paintball, boating, and zip lines. In this role, Mason Bird has enjoyed connecting with and mentoring the children that the camp serves. To that end, he has also pursued volunteer involvement with other organizations such as Special Olympics and Upward Soccer.
Mason Bird balances his service work with a strong dedication to academics. A member and former president of the National Honor Society, he has twice earned a school-wide award that honors accomplishment in leadership, academics, and athletics. The student combines a rigorous academic schedule, which includes a number of Advanced Placement courses, with active involvement in many school organizations. Mason Bird has served as captain of his school’s soccer and basketball teams during his junior and senior years, become a member of the Student Leadership Council, and helped to edit the school yearbook. He continues to achieve in all areas and intends to enroll at an academically challenging university in the fall of 2013.
